Spikers’ Turf is Everton Volleyball’s annual 4 vs 4 grass volleyball tournament, established in 2022. This tournament welcomes players of any level of experience willing to spend a fun day playing volleyball in the park 🙂.
We couldn’t be more excited to announce that Spikers’ Turf second edition will be held in Liverpool’s beloved Sefton Park. This year, our tournament will be divided in three categories, all happening on the same day:
- Men 4-a-side
- Women 4-a-side
- Mixed 4-a-side
Tournaments details
Spikers’ Turf is a 4-a-side grass volleyball tournament run over one day.
- The tournament format will consist of a morning pool play, followed by a gold and silver competition in the afternoon. Format will be adapted depending on the number of teams registered in each category.
- Players must rotate for the serve. Serving player is considered to be backcourt and hence not allowed to hit until the next player in his team serves.
- Teams can register more than 4 players and rotate if they wish. No more than 4 players are allowed on court.
- Teams are allowed to play with less than 4 players (at their own risk!).
- In the mixed tournament, there shall be a maximum of two male players on court, and a minimum of one female player (or a male player under 16 years old).
- Male players under 16 years old can play in the women’s tournament.
All matches start at 9:30am. Players are advised to arrive no later than 9am for registration. We aim to finish the tournament before 6pm.
