Established in 2021, Crosby Beach Series is the first competitive beach volleyball tournament series in the of North West. In 2021, the series brought together players from Merseyside, Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Cheshire and even Yorkshire in three amazing all-day events.
Crosby Beach Series joined the UKBT family in 2022 and it’s also part of the Northern Series along with Skyball and Fireball beach volleyball clubs.
The final Crosby Series 2022
It has truly been a summer to remember for the highs and for the lessons learned. We are now heading towards the end of the beach season with still one tournament left to look forward to. But there has been a little twist to the Everton’s last summer tournament – Crosby Beach Series 4. We are beyond exited to announce that Everton Volleyball will be hosting the Northern Series Finals on Saturday 10th September at Crosby beach.
The Northern Series is a joint competition which Everton Volleyball runs in partnership with fellow Northern clubs – Skyball and Fireball, and you can find more information about the series here. Continue reading to find out who is in the running to become the first King & Queen of the North.
Registrations
The tournament remains to be a 3* single gender (Men & Women) UKBT event with no changes to the current entries. The tournament entry fee is £26.
Entries are based on first come first serve basis. Registrations close on Monday before the tournament.
Northern Series: Finals Inbound
After a series of high-quality competitions across the north of England, the best teams in the region will be heading to Crosby for one last time this summer.
Excitingly, it’s all to play for in the finals. The top-ranked player per gender will win a £150 goody bag full of gear from the three Northern Series hosts: Skyball, Fireball and Everton. Heading into the finals weekend, we have a two-way tie at the top of both the male and female rankings. Bridlington player Pete Makowski and Scottish international Ruari Souter (both 450 points) are currently vying for top spot in the men’s category after some colossal battles through the various rounds. Everton Volleyball player Connor Makin is still within touching distance of the top two, on 410 points – a good result in the finals could see him get his hands on the prize, too.
On the ladies’ side, the rankings are looking similarly tight as we head into the last round. Just like in the men’s competition, Agnieszka Swistowska and Marcelina Pichlacz are currently tied at the top of the rankings with a whopping 510 points. Hot on their heels are Jitka Lopez (470) and Agata Potocka (390). Here’s how it stands going into the finals.
Don’t forget, the points in the finals are worth DOUBLE, with a maximum of 240 points on offer for the winners. More details here.

Location
Crosby beach has been a popular destination for beach volleyball players in the North West for quite some time and we have fallen in love with the wide, sandy and rather windy beach over the years. It is therefore no surprised we made our beloved beach our headquarter.
Crosby beach is part of the Merseyside coastline north of Liverpool in the Metropolitan Borough of Sefton. The easiest way to find us is to follow directions to Crosby Leisure Centre (Mariners Rd, Crosby, L23 6SX). Right in front of the leisure centre there is an entrance to the beach and we set up our nets on the left-hand side. There is a free car park available at the leisure centre but has limited spaces. You can find more information on parking at Crosby here. Alternatively, you can find more useful information on how to get to Crosby by public transport or even on your bike, here.
